Yuck!!! Like the one who did a Tony Perkins one me in the shower? Then, last night I found something hard and sharp on my slippers. Someone had smashed another one (they hide under box flaps and go from the store to your home if you bring your groceries home in boxes.) I said I would not tell who had done such a messy deed and let my slipper uncleaned. *Shudder*

Some people wonder why I freak out when when a bee, yellow jacket, or hornet lands on me or even just flies close to me. Well, I doubt many people have had as a terrifing expereince as I had about 6 years ago or so. I was attacked by a whole swarm of yellow jackets, one of the meaniest and most agressive bugs with a stinger when I was on vacation with my parents in Montery, California. I was sitting on a rock by a beautiful cove and watching a sea otter and its baby eat pieces of sea urchin. Little did I know that I was dangling my legs over a huge hive. They swarmed around me legs covering me. I started crying and screaming for help because I know I couldn't get up. One wrong movement and I would be stung hundreds of times. If it were a bit warmer out I would have slowly pushed myself off of that rock and into the deep cove about 20 feet below me. I should have done that dispite the cold. People were telling at me to get up, so I did and the yellow jackets followed me. Dad came to the rescue and be
t them off with a stick. Sounds funny, but it was not. Needless to say I was only stung once, but the memory of that experince was horrifying. Not many people are unfortunate enough to get chased by a whole hive of aggressive bugs with stingers!
